PERSONAL INFORMATION:

No personal information registered on Velovintage.dk will at any time be transferred, sold, or made available to third parties. All information is stored securely and is only accessible to trusted employees at Velovintage.dk.   In case of electronic payment, a secure encrypted method is used through the Webshop system.   The shop system uses so-called cookies to manage the content of the shopping cart. A cookie is simply the name for a file stored on your own PC. It is also possible to ask the system to save your own address details for your next visit. If you wish to delete this information at a later time, this can be done via your browser settings. In Internet Explorer, for example, this is done via the "Tools" menu and the "Internet Options" menu item.   When making a purchase, we request your name, address, phone number, and email address. This information is used exclusively for processing the order. The information is transmitted and stored electronically in unencrypted form and saved for 5 years. The "contract" itself (purchase agreement) is not stored at Velovintage.dk in a way that allows you to log in later and view/change its status.   Furthermore, we register the IP address from which any purchase is made. This information is normally not used but can be used in a possible police investigation. All fraudulent orders are reported to the police!   You can also optionally have your email address included in a mailing list at velovintage.dk so that you continuously receive news and other information from velovintage.dk. This service can be subscribed to and unsubscribed from at any time as you wish.   In accordance with the Personal Data Act, we will, upon request, provide information about registered data and, based on any objections, we will delete data to the extent requested.

At Velovintage.dk, we collect information that can provide statistical insight into how many visitors our website has had, where they come from, which part of the website they leave from, etc. We use log statistics with the purpose of optimizing the website and its functionalities.

ORDERING: Language: contracts are entered into in Danish.

BUYING step-by-step   Find the desired item.   Add the item to the shopping cart by clicking the "Add to cart" symbol.   You can then continue your search if you wish to purchase more.   If you regret the contents or wish to make corrections, for example, change the number of items, you can either delete using the delete button or adjust the quantity in the box. 'Update cart' if you want to see the price after the changes.   Then proceed to checkout. The screen is called "Go to checkout".   On the next screen, choose payment method and shipping.   Then you need to enter customer information and any alternative delivery address. Click "Continue".   Confirm order – summary of the order and the data you have entered.   Your order will only be sent when you click "Complete purchase". If you leave the page before then, the purchase transaction will not be completed.   The system will immediately send you an order confirmation to the email address you provided under customer information.   Once your order has been processed, you will receive another electronic notification.

PAYMENT:

Velovintage.dk accepts payments with Dankort/VISA-Dankort, VISA Electron, JCB, and MasterCard, as well as Anyday invoice payment (split your payment).
It is NOT possible to order on velovintage.dk and pay in the store in Søborg.

The amount is only charged to your card when the item is shipped.

Please note that payment with Anyday is outside Velovintage APS's control.
All terms such as credit assessment and payment are solely between you as the customer and Anyday!

When you choose to pay with Anyday (Invoice): The first payment occurs when the item is shipped. Thereafter, you will pay your monthly installment on the last weekday from the upcoming month, and for three months ahead.
No fees or interest will be added to your purchase, provided you pay on time. If you return your purchase, the agreement with Anyday will automatically terminate.

When you choose credit card payment:

The amount will only be debited from your account when the item is shipped if you have chosen credit card payment. Velovintage encrypts all your card details using the so-called SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol. This means that unauthorized persons cannot read your card number or other information during the transaction with PBS.   When paying with Dankort/Visa-Dankort, the customer will NOT be charged any fees.    It is important to us that you feel secure, both when shopping with us and when shopping elsewhere on the Internet.     For customer security, we have removed the option for account-to-account transfers.   The reason is that this payment method puts you as a consumer in a significantly worse position than if you pay with a credit card. Here, as a consumer, you are covered by the objection scheme, which means that you can get your money back in case of:   - the item not being received - misuse of card information - the purchase being regretted before the item was received - a higher amount being debited than approved at the time of order    We instead refer to our other payment options.    If you have any questions, please contact us.

DELIVERY / SHIPPING: 

Velovintage offers shipping with PostDanmark and GLS.
Shipping costs are displayed at checkout.
Delivery time is 1-3 business days for stock items and approximately 5 business days for items from remote storage.
RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL: It is possible within 14 days of receipt to return items if you have regretted your purchase and receive your money back; this also applies to used items (vintage). The item must be in substantially the same condition when we receive it back.
The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

IMPORTANT! Send as a business parcel – parcels sent to a parcel shop will NOT be collected and will be returned to you.

Remember to state your name/order number and what is being returned.

As a rule, there is no right of withdrawal for physical purchases, only for distance selling, but we are happy to exchange, unless otherwise stated.

COMPLAINTS

Important information when ordering a custom-built bicycle!

When ordering a custom-built bicycle from Velovintage, a deposit of DKK 2000 is charged. This amount is paid in the shop before work begins and immediately after the seller (Velovintage) and the buyer have agreed on how the bicycle should be built.
After this, it is generally not possible to get this amount refunded, unless Velovintage cannot deliver the agreed bicycle.

COMPLAINTS regarding used bicycles and parts:

Used bicycles: All complete used bicycles come with a 3-month warranty on the frame, stem, seat post, handlebars.
The warranty covers breakage of these parts, unless it is due to neglect or a crash involving the bicycle. Neglect means that the bicycle has been used for other purposes, or in a different way than it was designed for.

Used bicycle parts and accessories

No warranty is given on used parts. Velovintage guarantees that parts function 100% when customers receive them, but cannot guarantee the durability of the items, as they are older bicycle parts.

Complaints new items:

For these, we refer to the general terms for the right of complaint, which is 2 years. Please note that the right of complaint is NOT the same as a guarantee. All
complaints will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

ORDERING AND PURCHASING STEP BY STEP

All contracts and agreements are entered into in Danish.

Find the item you want in the online store.
Add the item to your shopping cart by clicking “Add to cart”.
You can now continue browsing if you want to buy more.
If you want to make changes to your cart (e.g. change the quantity), edit the quantity box and click "Update cart" to see the new price.
When you are ready, click “Proceed to checkout”.
Choose your preferred payment method and shipping method.
Enter your customer details and, if applicable, a different delivery address, then click “Continue”.
Review your order summary and the details you entered.
Your order will only be submitted when you click “Complete purchase / Approve payment”. If you leave the page before then, the transaction will not be completed.
The system will immediately send an automatic order confirmation to the email address you provided. When your order is packed and dispatched from our workshop, you will receive another electronic message with tracking information.

PAYMENT

Velovintage ApS accepts payment by Dankort, VISA, MasterCard, JCB, and MobilePay. Unfortunately, it is not possible to order items from the webshop and choose to pay for them in person when collecting them from the store in Søborg.

When will I be charged? The amount will only be charged to your card when the item is shipped from our workshop.
Security: Velovintage encrypts all your card details using a secure SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol. This means that unauthorized parties cannot read your card number or other information during the transaction with the payment provider. No fees are charged when paying with Danish payment cards.
Account-to-account transfer: For your security, we do not accept bank transfers. By paying with a payment card, you are covered by the statutory chargeback scheme as a consumer, which puts you in a significantly stronger position in the event of non-delivery or misuse.

DELIVERY AND SHIPPING

We offer shipping in cooperation with PostNord and GLS. The exact shipping cost is calculated and clearly displayed in the checkout flow before you confirm your purchase.

Delivery time: The estimated delivery time is 1-3 business days for items in stock, and approx. 5 business days for items ordered from our external warehouse.

RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL AND RETURNS

When you shop at Velovintage.dk, you have a 14-day full right of withdrawal from the day you receive the item. This also applies to our used (vintage) items.

Condition of the item upon return: You may inspect and examine the item in the same way you would when considering a purchase in a physical store. If the item has been used or damaged, you are liable for any loss in value. To receive a full refund, the item must be returned in substantially the same condition as when received.
Return costs: You are responsible for the shipping costs of a return. You may find it convenient to purchase an inexpensive and secure return label via the "Changed your mind about your purchase?" link at the bottom of our website. Link: HERE
Shipping it yourself: If you do not use our return label, the parcel must be sent directly as a business parcel with home delivery to: Velovintage ApS

2860 Søborg, Denmark. IMPORTANT: We will NOT collect return parcels sent without home delivery to parcel shops or post offices. Always remember to include a note with your full name and order number in the parcel.
In-person purchases in the showroom: As a rule, there is no statutory right of withdrawal for in-person purchases and viewings in our showroom/workshop, unless otherwise specifically agreed in writing. However, we are happy to offer an exchange for another item within 14 days.

RIGHT TO COMPLAIN AND WARRANTY

1. New productsNew products and equipment purchased from Velovintage are covered by the statutory 2-year right to complain under the Danish Sale of Goods Act. The right to complain covers manufacturing and material defects that were present at the time of delivery. For valid complaints, an individual assessment will be made as to whether the item should be repaired, replaced, or refunded.

2. Used bicycles (Vintage) We provide a 3-month warranty on the frame, stem, seatpost, and handlebars of all our complete, used bicycles. The warranty covers breakage of these vital components, provided the bicycle has been maintained and has not been involved in a crash or accident or been misused (e.g. used for a purpose for which the bicycle was not designed). In addition to our separate warranty, you are always covered by the general right to complain under the Sale of Goods Act.

3. Used bicycle parts and vintage equipmentWhen purchasing used and older bicycle parts, Velovintage guarantees that the components work 100% when you receive them. However, used parts are covered by the Sale of Goods Act’s right to complain, but any assessment will take significant account of the item’s age, natural wear, and expected service life as a vintage part. Normal wear, patina, or incorrect installation does not constitute a defect.

4. Ordering hand-built bicycles (Custom orders). When ordering a custom or hand-built bicycle, a deposit of 2,000 DKK is charged, payable in store when the specifications and design are approved and before work begins. Since this is a custom-made item tailored to your personal preferences, the standard right of withdrawal expires as soon as production begins. If you withdraw from the agreement after work has begun, Velovintage reserves the right to retain the deposit to cover material costs and labor already incurred.

COOKIES, STATISTICS AND PERSONAL DATA POLICY

We take good care of your data. No personal information registered on Velovintage.dk is ever transferred, sold, or made available to unauthorized third parties. The information is stored securely and is only accessible to trusted employees at Velovintage.

What data do we collect? When you make a purchase, we ask for your name, address, phone number, and email address. This data is used solely to process and deliver your order. The law requires us to retain these transaction data for 5 years (see the Danish Bookkeeping Act). We also record your IP address when you make a purchase to prevent fraud. Fraudulent orders are always reported to the police.
Cookies and log statistics: Our webshop platform (Shopify) uses cookies to manage the contents of your shopping cart and optimize your user experience. You can delete cookies from your computer at any time through your browser settings. We also collect anonymized log statistics to gain an overall insight into visitor numbers and how our webshop is used, so we can continuously improve its features.
Newsletter: You can voluntarily sign up for our email newsletter to receive news and special offers. You can unsubscribe from this service at any time using a link at the bottom of the emails you receive.
Your rights: You have the right at any time to access the information we have registered about you, to object to its processing, or to request its deletion to the extent permitted by other applicable legislation (GDPR). Please send inquiries about this to info@velovintage.dk.
