Description
The Maxxis DTH is an excellent choice if you're building or restoring a classic 26" MTB and want a tire that looks right and performs well on modern asphalt.
The DTH was originally developed for BMX racing, but the 26 × 2.30 version works really well on older MTBs, especially for street riding, urban riding, commuting, and fast rides on asphalt and hard-packed gravel paths.
The low-profile tread provides low rolling resistance and a fast feel on hard surfaces. The wide 2.30" profile also gives it the classic, beefy MTB look that suits many retro MTB frames from the 1980s and 1990s.
The tan sidewall adds a distinctive retro touch and pairs well with classic components, chrome, polished aluminum, and steel frames.
The tire has a 60 TPI casing and Maxxis' EXO protection in the sidewall, providing extra protection against cuts and abrasions.
