MKS Orbiter is a modern platform pedal developed and manufactured in Japan, with a focus on low weight, high stiffness, and maximum control. The pedal is designed for gravel, MTB, bikepacking, and everyday cycling, where secure grip and efficient power transfer are essential.
Orbiter is one of the lightest platform pedals in the MKS range, weighing just 344 grams per pair. The new lightweight axle, combined with a sealed bearing and bushing system, provides a slim construction without compromising durability or stiffness.
The medium-sized platform measures 101.8 × 104 mm and is equipped with 11 strategically placed grip pins, which, together with the slightly concave pedal surface, provide secure footing and efficient power transfer. The pedal’s low profile improves both pedal feel and ground clearance, making it suitable for technical terrain and active riding.
MKS has also optimized the bearings so that the pedal rotates in a controlled manner rather than spinning freely. This makes it easier to find the correct pedal position again while riding, especially on uneven surfaces. The simple design without unnecessary recesses also reduces the buildup of mud and dirt.
All components can be disassembled and serviced, and both the axle and grip pins are chrome-plated for increased wear resistance and corrosion protection.Description
